Getting Started

Benefits: We believe dancing makes peoples lives better! There are many personal, social and physical benefits when learning to dance; including meeting new people, adding fun and excitement to your life and increasing regular exercise. How it works: It's easy to get started. We recommend scheduling a free Introductory Lesson. This is a 25-minute sample private lesson which can be scheduled at your convenience. Call us at 651.641.0777 for more details.

What to expect: At Dancers Studio you can always expect personalized attention with great customer service. When attending your free Introductory Lesson or a Newcomer Night, you will see how fun and easy dancing can be!

What to bring: We recommend you wear clothing and shoes that are comfortable for you. The studio offers Ballroom and Latin dance shoes that are available for purchase. Dance shoes are optional.

What to pay: It is FREE to get started! There is no fee for your Introductory Lesson or to join the Newcomer Night. However, if you are ready to enroll on your first dance package, we offer a 20% discount for all new students!

Private Lessons

Benefits: Private lessons are the most effective and efficient way to improve your dancing skills. Because Private Lessons allow you to get individual attention from a professional dance instructor, you can focus on the goals, techniques, and patterns that are important specifically to you.

How it works: Private lessons can be scheduled at your convenience. Each lesson runs 50 minutes and begins at the top of the hour. You may enjoy as many private lessons per week that your schedule allows. Active membership at the studio requires a minimum of two private lessons per month.

What to expect: You will receive a high quality instruction dance education. Instructors are professionally trained by top coaches from around the world. Each lesson will be fun and easy, focusing on the dances you want to learn.

What to bring: You will receive a dance syllabus which can be helpful to bring to and from lessons. You may also want to bring your favorite music or a song for a special dance.

What to pay: Private Lessons are generally purchased in 'Membership Packages'. Membership Packages includes Private Lessons, Group Lessons and Dance Parties. A discount of 20% is available on your first package. Please see the ‘Membership Packages’ section on the 'Learn to Dance' page for more details.

Group Classes

Benefits: Group Classes offer students an opportunity to learn new patterns and techniques and to reinforce what they are learning in private lessons. Each class allows you to dance with different partners at different levels to better your lead or follow.

How it works: Group Classes are scheduled daily (See monthly calendar). Each class is 50 minutes and does not require any pre-registration. There are a variety of dance levels, from beginning to advance. Your private lesson instructor can help guide you to which classes would be most beneficial to your learning.

What to expect: Each class focuses on one or two dance styles. One of our highly qualified dance instructors leads the class and creates a fun and easy learning atmosphere.

What to bring: You may choose to bring something to take notes or jot down questions to use in your private lessons. Don’t forget your dance shoes!

What to pay: Active Dancers Studio Members are able to attend Member Group Classes at no additional cost. Members also receive a discounted price on Specialty Classes. Non-Members can attend any group class for $15/class/person or a package of 10 classes/person for $120.

Dance Parties

Benefits: Attending Dance Parties accelerates a student's learning because they have an opportunity to practice in a fun and safe environment. Parties also allow you to meet new people who share a similar hobby.

How it works: Dance Parties are every Thursday at 8pm following the 7pm Member Group Class. Parties run for a full hour and move through a variety of Ballroom and Latin dances. The majority of Dancers Studio's Instructors attend every Thursday and are available to dance with and answer questions.

What to expect: A DJ (usually Shinya) plays danceable music that is easy to dance to. The DJ always announces what dance is recommended for each song. Students always have the option to dance with a variety of partners. Everyone dances!

What to bring: Come casual or dress up for your Thursday night out!

What to pay: Active Dancers Studio Members are able to attend Thursday Night Dance Parties at no additional charge. Non-Members are also welcome at $15/person or $10/person for those who take the group class prior. Packages of 10 group classes/parties are available at $120.
