Long time, no see
Welcome back to the Dancers Studio blog, peeps.
If you haven’t been by the new place, it’s pretty sweet. Things are changing everyday; I heard we got new soap dispensers today. The teachers’ lounge gets rearranged every other day. It’s kind of like moving into a new apartment. ”Which cupboard should my plates go in?” Yet, instead of dishes, we’re finding spots for 20 peoples’ 10 pairs of dance shoes. And where should all we put all our art? I was reluctant to hang the very… cool Ty Wilson posters, but Jeff and I agreed that they actually look pretty sweet by the ramp to the DJ booth. One of the colors in all the paintings match the swanky gray walls.
The group class schedule continues to change to meet everyone’s needs. We’re trying to figure out what class works best in each ballroom, along with having room for private lessons at the same time. It’s a good test of our organizational skills and YOUR communication with us! Please be patient with us while we figure it all out.
In the mean time, take a little time Sunday evenings to rock out in the big ballroom with a bunch of couples during the free Rounds practice at 7pm. The talented Peter Westlake (amateur dancer extraordinaire) runs a tidy schedule of rounds of all the Smooth, Rhythm, Standard, and Latin dances. And hey, it’s free. Neat.
